This Privacy Policy explains how Protein Quality Scanner ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
We built Protein Quality Scanner to work without accounts or sign-in, and the food data you log stays on your device. We do not run a server that stores your personal information.
Information We Collect
Information stored on your device. Your scans, daily intake logs, meals, favorites, goals, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this information to our servers, and we do not have access to it.
Camera and scanning. When you scan a barcode or photograph an ingredient list, the image is processed on your device to read the code or text. These images are not uploaded to us or stored after processing.
Product lookups. When you scan a barcode, the app sends that barcode to the Open Food Facts database to retrieve product information. No personal information is attached to these requests.
Purchases. Premium and Premium+ purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your payment card details. The app stores only your entitlement status (e.g., whether Premium+ is active) locally on your device.
Advertising and usage data. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and ad-interaction data. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.
How We Use Information
We do not use your logged food or health data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
