First Light is designed to work without accounts, ads, or unnecessary data collection.
First Light does not require an account. We don't collect your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
Stored on your device: Your alarms, missions, sleep sounds, and other app data are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to our servers.
Anonymous product analytics: To improve First Light, we collect anonymous information about how the app is used — alarm creation, mission completion, paywall views, and purchases. Each install is identified by a random UUID. This identifier is not linked to your real-world identity and is not shared with advertising networks. This data is processed in the EU by PostHog on our behalf.
Apple Search Ads attribution: If you installed First Light from an Apple Search Ad, Apple provides us anonymous campaign information (such as the keyword that led to your install) via Apple's AdServices framework. No personal data is shared.
Purchases: Transactions are processed by Apple. We receive a record of your purchase via StoreKit to grant access. We do not receive your payment details.
First Light does not sell your data, does not show third-party ads, and does not link any data we collect with data from other apps or websites.
